Privacy policy
MoriPoko is an Android arcade puzzle game made by RunicGrid Games ("we"). This policy describes the current game and its optional online features.
Puzzle progress and preferences stay on your device. Online play uses Epic Online Services and a persistent online identity. You can play as a guest or optionally link an Epic Games account. The game contains no advertising or analytics SDK.
Request deletion of your MoriPoko account or data, or email [email protected].
Information stored on your device
The game saves puzzle completion, your chosen player name, board theme, announcer, sound and control preferences, and a recovery copy of your progress. It also stores your choice of guest or Epic sign-in, SDK-managed authentication information and a short-lived bookmark for reconnecting to an online room.
These local files are not a campaign cloud-save service. Signing in to Epic can recover your online identity; it does not copy your puzzle progress, player name or settings to another device. Announcer recordings and music are bundled with the game and play offline; playing them makes no request to a speech-generation service.
Guest online identities
Starting online play uses Epic Online Services (EOS) to create or open a guest identity associated with this app installation. The SDK uses a Device ID credential and a Product User ID for authentication, room membership and reconnection. These are persistent identifiers, so guest play should not be understood as anonymous play.
Clearing the app's data or uninstalling can remove access to an unlinked guest identity. This does not, by itself, request deletion of its online record. Use the account and data deletion route for that request.
Optional Epic Games account sign-in
If you choose to sign in, Epic's browser-based consent screen requests Basic Profile access: your Epic account ID, display name, language and linked account display names. The game uses the authenticated identity to link or recover your MoriPoko online profile. It does not request friends-list or online-presence access.
The game never asks you to send us your Epic password. Sign-in happens with Epic and authentication is managed by the SDK. Epic has its own relationship with its account holders, described in the Epic Games privacy policy.
If the Epic account already has a MoriPoko identity, the game asks whether to use that identity or keep the current one. It does not merge puzzle saves or automatically delete either identity.
Online matches and information shared
Online play exchanges the information needed to create rooms, find matches, route gameplay and recover dropped connections. This includes:
- Your online user ID, chosen player name, room code and lobby membership.
- Your seat, ready status, connection status, selected arena and game/protocol version.
- Arrow inputs, match state, scores, series wins and reconnection checkpoints.
- Network and device-platform information needed by the online SDK, including IP addresses used to establish and deliver connections.
Room participants receive names, membership and gameplay information. The game uses peer-hosted matches over EOS peer networking, with direct or relayed connections. Depending on the route, another participant's device may receive your network address. The host processes match inputs, and a surviving participant can take over hosting.
There is no in-game chat or voice chat. This version does not operate a separate publisher-hosted match-history database, ranked account system or global leaderboard.
Why information is used
We use information to provide the local and online features you request, authenticate the selected identity, maintain fair room membership, restore interrupted matches, investigate technical problems and respond to support or privacy requests. Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, providing the requested service and responding to you supports performance of that service; protecting the service and resolving faults supports our legitimate interests. We may also process information where needed to meet a legal obligation.
Providers, purchases and website visits
Epic Online Services supplies the online authentication, lobby and peer-networking features described above. Online data is sent to that service and to the devices participating in your match. Services and participants may be outside your country.
Any paid store download is handled by the store, such as Google Play. MoriPoko does not receive payment-card details. The current game has no advertising SDK, in-app purchases or third-party analytics SDK, and we do not sell gameplay information.
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Visiting it sends ordinary web-request information, including your IP address, to the hosting service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. These pages do not add advertising or analytics scripts, forms, or site tracking cookies.
If you email us, we receive the address, message and any files you choose to include, and use our email provider to handle that correspondence. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or payment-card details.
How long information is kept
- Local progress, preferences and authentication files remain until removed by you, the app, or your device's storage controls. Device transfers or backups made separately by you can have their own retention.
- The reconnect bookmark is refreshed during an active room and is usable for up to 60 seconds after its last refresh. The game clears it on leaving or when it next encounters an expired or invalid bookmark.
- Live room state is used during the room and recovery period. An online identity can persist between matches so you can authenticate again. Closing a room is not an account-deletion request.
- We keep support messages while handling the request and necessary follow-up. Limited information may be retained where needed to document a privacy request, resolve a dispute or comply with a legal obligation.
We do not promise that uninstalling removes information held by an online service. For a MoriPoko deletion request, we will address the records we control and request relevant action from our service provider where needed. Any necessary retention will be explained in our response.
Your choices and rights
You can play puzzles and local practice without using online play. Epic account sign-in is optional. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to its use, and complain to your data-protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We may ask for reasonable information to identify the correct record and verify that it belongs to you. We aim to respond within one month and will explain any lawful extension. You can make a request without reinstalling the game.
The account and data deletion page explains how to remove local saves and request deletion of a MoriPoko online identity. Deleting a MoriPoko identity is separate from deleting your Epic Games account.
Children
MoriPoko is intended for teens and adults aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the game, contact us so we can investigate and help remove it.
Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date when the game's data handling changes.
